All'Orsetto: Reviews & Ratings
My favorite trattoria in Rome. Great food, big portions, normal prices. Highly recommanded!
Great food and great price, especially for the area. Reminded me of dinner with my grandparents. It is cash only but definitely worth it!
Seriously without a doubt the best pizza I have ever eaten. We have been in Rome for a week now and eating at restaurants everyday and admittedly this one has been the best so far. The prices are good, the staff is nice and patient.
Quality food! Domestic tastes with fresh ingredients! Perfect pasta and pizza. Local atmosphere, not touristic Suggesting 100%
Great staff, nice food, small portions for a big lad like myself, very expensive for what we got. €122 for 2 people.
I always visit this trattoria whenever I am in the city.I mean what's not to like:the portions are huge(we barely finished them) and so are the options(pastas, pizzas, meat and drinks) The prices are reasonable. The staff is very professional. Honestly I would call this place a hidden gem since I've only saw the locals visit it.
Authentic tasty pizzas and breads, ambiance is OK. Service is good, very polite and patience with taking orders because of language barrier if you're not speaking italian. Good experience, no frills or hype, just good food.
The pasta is absolutely delicious and the portions are really generous. Top 3 of the pasta is: cacio e pepe, aglio oglio e peperoncino, ala vodka. Torta della nonna is also a must try if you are a fan of custard. It was bursting with vanilla flavour. Dinner for 5 added up to 80€ with pasta, wine, water, 1 dessert and 1 serving of french fries wich were freshly made with real potatoes not frozen. Service also included.

Located on Via Flaminia in the heart of Rome, All'Orsetto is a charming Roman trattoria that invites you to experience authentic Italian flavors with a genuine local touch. Stepping inside feels like joining a family gathering, where the rich aromas of freshly prepared pasta and wood-fired pizza mingle with the warm hum of conversation.
The menu at All'Orsetto is a tribute to Roman culinary tradition, featuring highlights like Cacio e Pepe, a simple yet bold pasta dish whose creamy sauce perfectly balances sharp Pecorino cheese and freshly cracked black pepper. The Gricia here is another standout, rich with guanciale and a true testament to minimalist yet robust Roman cuisine.
Pizza lovers will find joy in their Pizza Margherita and the loaded Quattro Stagioni, both boasting thin, crispy crusts and vibrant, fresh toppings. The famed Spaghetti alle Vongole captures the essence of the sea with tender clams in a garlicky, white wine broth—light but full of character. Seafood aficionados will also appreciate the Grigliata di Pesce and Risotto Frutti di Mare, where the freshness of the catch is showcased without pretense.
For those seeking heartier fare, dishes like the perfectly cooked steak and the creamy Pasta with Vodka Sauce offer comforting, satisfying options. The starters, such as the Bruschetta al Pomodoro and crispy Fritto di Calamari, do a fantastic job setting the scene for the larger plates that follow.
No meal at All'Orsetto would be complete without a taste of their traditional desserts. The Torta della Nonna and Grandma's Cake deliver nostalgic sweetness, wrapping up the dining experience with a home-cooked feeling that lingers.
Beyond the food, what truly stands out is the blend of quality, authenticity, and value. While some find portions modest and prices a bit steep, many customers appreciate the generous servings relative to local standards and the genuine atmosphere that feels far from touristy. The restaurant operates on a cash-only policy, reinforcing its down-to-earth charm.
All'Orsetto offers not merely a meal but a memory—one where each dish tells a story of Roman heritage, fresh ingredients, and culinary devotion. It’s a place where classic recipes are honored, the staff is patient and kind, and every bite reconnects you to Italian roots.
